How To Choose A Home Business Or Job

One thing I constantly see from "newbies" to the work at home world is, "I'm so confused, I don't know where to start!" It's true, there is so much information out there, and not all of it good. Scams are mixed right in with legitimate business opportunities and jobs.

Here is a very simple way to decide on a direction if you are looking for a work at home job or business.

What do you enjoy doing? Make a list of every single thing you enjoy, or have an interest in.

What are you good at? Make another list of every single talent or ability you have, or have done in previous jobs. Not just regular "jobs" either, look at the things you do for your family, friends, hobbies, etc.

Play the match game. Can any of your items from List #1 be combined with an item from List #2 and made into a home business? For example if you love to clean, and you're good at organizing, you could become a professional organizer or start a cleaning business. If you love writing, you could write articles and eBooks about how to get organized. (or any topic from List #1 or #2)

Do you want to be your own boss or work for someone else? If you want to work for someone else, start researching jobs that would match the items from your lists. If you want to work for yourself, start researching possible home business options, either with an existing company, or forming your own.

There are so many directions you could go in. The hardest part is choosing one. Get clear about what you don't want to do. Hate phone work? Make a note of that. In fact, make a list of every single thing that you don't want to do in a job/biz. Then write a vision of what you DO truly want. If you could wave a magic wand over your life right now, what would you create? What type of work would you be doing? How much money would you be making? Where would you live? How much time would you spend working, and how much time with family? Write all of this down in full detail and refer back to it often. It's your dream, and you need to keep infusing it with life and energy.

Great! You know where you want to end up, now you need to think about the steps that will get you there. Just take it a step at a time, don't get overwhelmed.

It's going to take time to fully realize your vision of working at home. If you're really strapped for cash, consider taking on a part-time job outside the home while you build your work at home job or business. That will relieve the pressure of needing to "create an income right now!" Then you can take your time and build your dream.

Finally, believe you CAN do this! Millions of people are already successfully working from home, and you can too. Just choose a direction and start moving toward it!

Stay at Home Business

If you have been considering starting a home business you may have heard many different opinions on how to run it. Some will tell you to run it like you would if you were working away from the home. Others may tell you to make your own hours and be flexible. What is the best way to work from home?

One of the primary reasons that people even consider working from home is to some how get a handle on their personal lives. They feel divided leaving every morning and dropping kids off at daycare and school; working all day and then picking, them up to only feed them and put them to bed. One of the advantages to having a home business is that you can set your hours differently that work with your lifestyle.

You want to be careful not to let the chores that need your attention run overtime so that you are doing your home business at night and the weekends (my wife hates that part). One way to manage this is to rent a post office box where all your deliveries for your business go instead of coming to your home and mixing in with your home mail and lessens the amount of time you are running to the door frequently to sign for packages for the business.

Use your day planner and schedule in when you will be doing the daily chores and doing the business. You can utilize your break times to do the dishes and vacuum. You may consider hiring someone to come in and do the little chores for you such as a teenager looking to make a little extra money.

Multi-tasking is an important quality when you are entering the home business environment. If you are not good at organizing your time and resources and able to do more than one thing at a time you may want to reconsider this avenue of financial employment or join together with a partner who is a good multi-tasker.

It is important to get your family involved in accomplishing chores around the house. If your children are old enough to do laundry or dishes and other chores around the house start setting a schedule that you want them done by and your chores will be done, your children will be learning responsibility, and you will be able to accomplish what needs to be done with your business.

Let your children know when you are available to take them places instead of telling them you have no time because your business requires you to stay home. Write in times in your day planner to take your children places and do special things for yourself and with your spouse. If you put all your energies into the business and neglect your family you will either not have your family or you will lose your business or possibly both.

You may be surprised at what is available or you may gain new ideas from the other businesses that are in operation today. Remember that with all forms of advertisement that is available for home businesses do not forgot to utilize the Internet when trying to reach your customers.

Antiques are a great way to make money from old treasures and you will have a great time as well. You can find antiques at garage and estate sales, as well as auctions and browsing through flea markets. You can sell everything from furniture to clothes and toys and everything in between. The financial investment of renting a space or setting up booths at fairs and such is minimal.

Computer Tutor is another excellent way to utilize your skills and bring in money. It does not matter what part of computer experience you excel at you can use your knowledge to help someone learn more.

Custom Jewelry and Accessories is fun for those who have a creative flair. There is always a market for jewelry and there are individuals who are always looking for unique and custom pieces.

Espresso Cart is a great way to bring in a profit everyday that you set up. Having a variety of hot and cold coffees to provide to your patrons will have them coming back day after day. You can set up just about anywhere, of course look into local regulations before you do so, and enjoy a daily profit and a cup of coffee.

Cleaning and Hauling Services is a handy way to make money if you are someone who loves to clean and clear things. Many people out there would willingly pay someone else to clean out their garage or attics and haul their junk away. Especially during the warmer seasons, this is a great way to make extra income. Obviously you cannot do this type of business with a car you will need a pick-up of some type of vehicle that is capable of carrying away a variety of items.

Handyman makes good money going to individuals who need someone to fix up minor things around their house. If you are good at fixing things, this is a great source of income and you will be doing something you love as well.

Medical Transcription can be done at home with a bit of brush up on medical terminology or even through taking a quick course at your community college or other institute. This is a demand that will not slow down anytime soon. Doctor’s offices, dentists, and even veterinarians all need someone to transcribe their records. If you are good at typing and familiar with Word documents and formatting this is a good choice for you.

Create Your Network Marketing Momentum

In network marketing, substantial wealth is created only after you have achieved momentum. This momentum can be thought as very similar to the doubling effect of compound interest.

Compound interest is "Interest which is calculated not only on the initial principal but also the accumulated interest of prior periods." In the case of your network marketing efforts your initial principal is your initial effort. Your accumulated interest is that of your sponsors, who, with your proper coaching, carry on your efforts to effectively set your momentum in motion.

Your sponsors follow your lead by growing your downline and finding new sponsors who in turn do the same. This has surprising and remarkable results. This creates a doubling effect that once in place grows your business at a phenomenal rate. No longer can your efforts possibly keep pace with the actions of so many who all contribute to your own downline.

The momentum all starts by putting it in motion with your actions. Unfortunately, try asking up to 90% of the people who attempt network marketing how they are doing. You are more then likely to hear some negative replies. The reason is simple - they did not set things in motion.

Getting your network marketing business rolling is no mystery. It takes you and your positive dedication to move things forward. It also takes your planning. This is accomplished first by establishing your goals for your business. Determine what your ideal vision of the future would be, and move toward it with optimistic expectations.

The next step for realizing your network marketing success is mapping out your plan for success. This is where you determine the most effective use of your time and energy. Figure out what money if any, should be spent on your business marketing and expenses. Most importantly, set time aside to market your business each day.

A frequently overlooked step by many who attempt to succeed at network marketing is devoting time to you. Your continued education is vital to your success. Your newfound knowledge will enable you to adapt to changes, and focus on the things that really work.

Personal development will lead to the development of your sponsors, the key to your long term success. Your sponsors need a team leader who has high energy, is motivated and knowledgeable. It is important that you nurture your sponsors into an extension of you. Only then will your dream of network marketing momentum be fulfilled.

Top Rated Moms Jobs (and Dad's Too)...

In today's work place we can find many people who are looking for ways to get out of the day-to-day rat race. After all who wants to sit in traffic, endure the stress of the work place when you may not make enough in the end to pay your bills. In many cases these people are single parents looking for a better way to create income.

Most of us would like to have more time for families and ourselves. I find that quite a few readers of my articles will say that they need to create some extra income, because they are a single mom that needs more cash to help support their families.

As a business owner I try to highlight programs that require minimal expense, but also give a working person a chance at creating some additional income and follow me on this road towards Financial Freedom! Others may become successful enough to stay at home, where they can work from the comforts of their home and create the income necessary to support their family.

Some will email me saying they want to join a program, but cannot even afford the 30-50 dollars required to start. I have found many programs where you can join for free giving a user a chance to create some income to start their work at home endeavor.

No matter which route you take it will take some time and effort on your part to be successful. I always suggest that folks going into multiple programs so they can create some fast income, but also look at an online business so they can slowly reduce their time and efforts while increasing their income.

The potential is there for all of us with the Internet. It has made it so easy and inexpensive to explore other opportunities. Make sure you do your research so you don't get involved with companies that do not have a good track record. Once you have done your research, give yourself a chance and take the next step of getting started.

My new mantra of sorts is, 'you can't hit a home run if you're not in the game'. Don't let life pass you buy. I remember reading a phrase that has stuck with me over the years and I quote "Behind every successful man is many failures".

I can tell you from my personal experiences that working from home is the best. As I write this article I am sitting in my home office, watching the news and listening to the hustle/bustle of my neighbors scraping off snow/ice off their vehicles preparing to leave out for work while I sit here in a very relaxed environment. I only wish I had started earlier, but hey I'm not complaining. This was my dream, yours may be different, but working at home or owning a work at home business can give you a chance at fulfilling your dreams.

If your accessing the Internet you more than likely have the equipment required to work online already.

I always enjoy getting emails pertaining to my articles/blogs on my site. Your feedback is important to us....and we wish you the very best!
